2 Starting Remte Mdule Dwnlad and install the Intelligent Remte Mdule frm website. After successful installatin, duble click the Remte Mdule icn n the desktp t start the applicatin. Remte Viewing Figure 1 Intelligent Remte Mdule (IRM) T cnnect t a PICO ORS server fr remte viewing, yu must first cnfigure the server t allw remte viewing. Server side setup Exit the PICO2000 server applicatin G t Start -> Settings -> Cntrl Panel and duble click n DSR Cnfiguratin Select Vide Server User and click Setup Check the bx labeled Passwrd Prtectin s that nly authrized users can lg in fr remte viewing If the Passwrd Prtectin bx is nt checked, annymus users will be able t use Remte Mdule t view cameras remtely. Click n the Add User buttn t cnfigure a new remte username and passwrd. Yu can limit each user t certain cameras and t a maximum cnnectin time. A time limit f 0 equals n time limit. Once yu are finished cnfiguring remte users, clse DSR Cnfiguratin and restart the PICO2000 server applicatin Figure 2 Setting up users fr remte viewing Nte: TCP Prt 1999 must be pen n the PICO2000 server PC t allw remte cnnectins. Using Remte Viewing Click the OnLine View buttn t pen the viewing windw Enter the IP address f the server yu are cnnecting t If prmpted, enter a username and passwrd defined in the Vide Server User Manager n the PICO2000 server PC. Use the menus at the tp f the viewing t adjust yur settings: Server Cnnect t anther server Camera select the camera t view Recrd Start and stp recrding the live view. Nte that recrdings will be stred n the Remte Mdule machine and will nt affect any recrding setting n the PICO2000 server machine. Vide file will be stred in under the fllwing directry structure: C:\DSR-Vide\image\[server_name]\[camera_name]\[date_yyyymmdd]\ Reslutin Select the display reslutin. The display windw can als be resized manually. Cmpressin Change the streaming vide cmpressin settings t reduce the amunt f bandwidth cnsumed r t increase the quality f the display

3 Click the OnLine View buttn again t pen multiple camera windws. OnLine View Playback Server side setup Figure 3 Remte OnLine Viewing An FTP server must be setup and running n the PICO2000 server PC t allw remte access t vide file. Micrsft IIS (Internet Infrmatin Services) is recmmended hwever any FTP server shuld wrk. Please see yur Windws dcumentatin fr details n installing IIS n yur system. Cnfigure IIS t share vide files remtely as fllws: Right click n My Cmputer and select Manage Expand the menu Services and Applicatins -> Internet Infrmatin Services -> FTP Sites and highlight Default FTP site Right click and select New -> Virtual Directry. The Virtual Directry Creatin Wizard will appear. A Virtual Directry must be created fr each f the recrding drives n yur system. The PICO2000 will recrd t the Dsr-Vide flder n each drive specified in Cntrl Panel -> DSR Cnfiguratin -> Select drive t recrd. Fr each recrding drive, a Virtual directry must be created with the fllwing aliases: Actual Recrding Drive Path C:\Dsr-Vide D:\Dsr-Vide E:\Dsr-Vide. Z:\Dsr-Vide dsr-vide dsr-vided dsr-videe dsr-videz Alias Once all Virtual Directries have been setup, start the FTP server by right clicking n Default FTP site and selecting Start Figure 4 IIS FTP Setup sharing vide file frm the C and D drives Nte: TCP Prts and must be pen n the PICO2000 server PC t allw remte cnnectins. 4 Launch Remte Playback Click Remte Select Access thrugh ftp/http services Enter the IP address r PC name f the PICO2000 server Click OK 1. Select Server 2. Select Camera 3. Select Date 4. Click File Recrd 5. Right click n a file and Preview the first image within the file r Dwnlad the file t the remte machine. 6. T play, select a file and click Open this file nly Open this file and all files after it Snap shts When playing back a vide file, pause the file and a snapsht image can be saved

Alarm Alert cnsists f tw sftware mdules, the Alarm Alert Caller n the PICO2000 server PC and the Alarm Alert Receiver n the Remte Mdule machine. These tw mdules are designed t wrk tgether. When an alarm is triggered n the PICO2000 server (either frm external alarm inputs r mtin detectin) the Alarm Alert Caller will ntify the Receiver. Server Side Setup Alarm Alert Caller G t Cntrl Panel -> DSR Cnfiguratin -> Alarm Alert and Enable Alarm Alert. If this setting was nt already enabled then yu must restart the PICO2000 server sftware fr it t take effect. Right click n the Alarm Alert Caller icn in the system tray and select Setup Figure 6 Right click Alarm Alert Caller in the System Tray Select the cnnectin mde, chse LAN fr cnstant cnnectins r Dial Up if the Alarm Alert Caller is t establish the cnnectin n alarm Enter the IP address r PC name f the remte PC. Nte: TCP Prt 9002 must be pen n the PICO2000 server PC t allw remte cnnectins. Using Alarm Alert Receiver Click the Alarm Alert Receiver buttn t activate the receiver; a small icn will appear in the system tray shwing that the receiver is active. Whenever an alarm is triggered n the PICO2000 server PC, the Alarm Alert Receiver windw will appear with details. Figure 7 Alarm Alert Receiver Windw

6 Pan/Tilt/Zm Cntrl Server Side Setup The PTZ camera must be cnnected t the PICO2000 server PC COM prt using an RS232 t RS 422/485 PTZ cnverter. This cnverter must be surced elsewhere and verified as wrking frm the PICO2000 server PC befre attempting t perate remtely. Exit the PICO2000 server sftware and pen Cntrl Panel -> DSR Cnfiguratin -> Pan/Tilt/Zm Cntrl. Check Enable PTZ Next pen PTZ Cnfiguratin als in DSR Cnfiguratin Select the PTZ prtcl and varius prtcl settings in the Cnfiguratin tab Add a username and pririty level under the User Accunt tab Restart the PICO2000 server sftware Nte: UDP Prt 1234 must be pen n the PICO2000 server PC t allw remte cnnectins. Remte PTZ Cntrl Click the PTZ buttn and enter the PICO2000 server machine name r IP address and the user name setup in PTZ Cnfiguratin (abve) n the server side. Check the OnLine View bx t pen a new remte viewing windw Upn successful cnnectin, the PTZ Cntrl Panel will appear allwing remte PTZ cntrl Figure 8 Remte PTZ Cntrl

7 Husekeeping The Husekeeping windw allws yu t manage vides files stred n the remte machine. These vide files may have been dwnladed via Remte Playback r recrded directly frm the Remte Viewing windw.
