In this mde the system autmatically activates the pump and heater t filter the water and maintain the set water temperature. If this light is flashing the water sensr is nt detecting any water. H20 LED (24hr circulatin pump fitted) The yellw r blue H20 light indicates if water is present in the heater. If n water is detected then the LED will flash and the unit will nt perate except t run the circulatin pump t try t get water t the heater. If n water reaches the heater fr ne minute then an H20 errr will ccur. If this happens then pushing the pump buttn will run the circulatin pump fr anther minute. Pump LED The green Pump indicatr light will appear n the tuch pad whenever the pump is running, in bth aut and manual use mde. If this light is flashing, the spa is in Sleep Mde. Heat LED The red Heater indicatr light will appear n the tuchpad whenever the heater element is n, in bth aut and manual use mde. Fr safety the heater is always autmatically cntrlled. Usually switching n the air blwer accessry will cause the heater t switch ff (ladshedding). This is in rder t keep the ttal pwer lad t a safe level. If this light is flashing the system has an errr (see sectin 8). Aux/Air LED The Aux/Air indicatr LED will appear n the tuchpad whenever the Aux/Air buttn is pushed and cnversly will disapear when the buttn is pushed again. Nte: If the spa des nt have a lad cnnected t the cntrller the LED will still perate as described abve. Page 1
4 2 Temperature Cntrl The Spa Pwer 601 autmatically cntrls the pump and heater t filter the water and maintain it at the desired temperature set by the user (see belw).the user can leave the system t lk after the spa and knw it will be at the crrect temperature whenever he r she wants t use it. 2.1 Adjusting Set Temperature The Spa Pwer 601 gives the user direct cntrl f the pl temperature frm the plside cntrl panel. Hlding dwn the Up r Dwn buttn will adjust the temperature set pint as shwn n the digital readut. There is a slight delay befre the buttns perate t reduce the risk f accidental adjustment. The pl temperature will be maintained very clse t the set temperature. Default Display Page 2 UP Increase the set temperature by 0.5 C per beep (Max = 41.5 C) DOWN Decrease the set temperature by 0.5 C per beep (Min = 10.0 C) The display nrmally shws the temperature set pint, unless the ptinal in pl temperature sensr is fitted in which case the sensed water temperature is displayed. In either case the temperature set pint will be displayed while being adjusted as described abve. 2.2 Nn-Default Display Value The nn-default display value (either sensed water temperature r temperature set pint) can be checked if necessary by pressing the Up & Dwn buttns simultaneusly. Press bth buttns simultaneusly 2.3 Heating Mde Selectin (24hr circ pump nt fitted) In additin t the temperature setting the user can select the preferred heating mde. The tw available heating mdes are... 1/ Demand Heating (displayed as Ht.d).This is the default setting in which the pump and heater will cme n autmatically whenever the temperature drps slightly belw the set pint. 2/ Filtratin Only Heating (displayed as Ht.F).In this mde the pump and heater will cme n autmatically n mre than nce per hur t filter and heat the water. This mde is prvided as an ptin fr thse wh prefer t limit the natural cycling f the system. T select the heating mde first press the Pump and Dwn buttns simultaneusly t display the current heating mde, then press and hld the Up r Dwn buttns t change mdes. Press bth buttns simultaneusly ER Press Up r Dwn buttns t tggle between heating mdes. ER ER 6 Aut Sanitising (Filtratin) 6.1 N 24hr Circulatin Pump Fitted The Spa Pwer 601 autmatically maintains the filtratin/sanitising f the spa pl water. The minimum amunt f filtratin time is prgrammable by the user and can be adjusted between 0 and 15 minutes per hur (0 t 6 hurs per day). In rder t maintain crrect filtratin f the pl water, the SP601 mnitrs the time fr which the pump runs in nrmal pl peratin. If the pump has nly run fr a shrt time, the system will autmatically run the pump fr an additinal perid every hur t reach the minimum filtratin time set by the user Adjusting Minimum Filtratin Time (N 24hr circulatin pump fitted)) First push the Dwn andair/aux buttns tgether t display the filtratin time setting n the digital readut Press bth buttns simultaneusly ER Press bth buttns simultaneusly The default setting is 10 minutes per hur (= 4 hurs per day). Hlding dwn the Up Buttn r Dwn Buttn will adjust the filtratin time setting between 0 and 15 minutes per hur. (= 0 t 6 hrs per day) Clean Up Cycle If desired, a clean up cycle can be initiated t filter the water after the spa pl has been used. This is dne by simply pushing the Pump Buttn t leave aut mde and switch n the pump. This will circulate the water thrugh the filter fr 90 minutes. After 90 minutes the system will return t aut mde and maintain the temperature ready fr the next time the spa pl is used hr Circulatin Pump Fitted The Spa Pwer 601 cntinuusly filters the spa pl t ensure the water is clean and crystal clear fr each and every spa use. A near silent energy efficient circulatin pump cnstantly passes water thrugh the filter and since the circulatin pump runs all the time (except fr when the time clck has been set t sleep r in an errr cnditin) and the heater is cntrlled autmatically there is n need fr any user cntrls fr these features. With a 24hr circulatin pump fitted there is n need t prgram any filtratin cycles, and the nise f a large jet pump running during filtratin has been remved. 6.3 My Spa Is T Ht In Summer! During warm perids f the year there may be times when the actual water temperature exceeds the desired temperature set by the user. E.g. If the spa is set t heat t 35 C, but the actual water temperature is htter than 35 C. Please cnsider this - In the winter yur spa gets cld because the air temperature is cld. T cmbat this we heat the water and keep the spa cvered when nt in use. If the spa is turned ff and the ambient temperature is 15 C, eventually the spa water will lse heat until it t is 15 C. In the summer the same applies but in reverse - yu can turn the heater dwn, even turn the pump ff, but if the ambient daytime temperature is 35 C - 42 C then the spa water will als remain at that temperature. Manufacturers make n attempt t supply a system that cls water. The quickest way t cmbat the prblem is t change the water, but even this new water will eventually heat up t the air temperature. Turn the set temperature dwn s the heater des nt cme n. Reduce the minimum filtratin time (nn circ pump mdels nly) s the pump runs less. The less the pump runs the mre the water will cl. If the nighttime temperature is lw, leave the cver ff the spa t let heat escape, but put it back n during the day t keep heat ut. If the ptinal timeclck is fitted increase the sleep time perid therwise turn the spa ff vernight. Als make sure the spa is shaded frm direct sunlight. Page 7
5 5 Operatin Yur spa may have been fitted with either f tw different LED lights; a Spa Pwer Clured (SPCL) r a Spa pwer Variable Clured (SPVCL).
