Use the freezer nly as instructed in this Owner's Guide Befre starting the freezer, fllw these imprtant first steps, INSTALLATION Chse a place that is near a grunded electrical utlet D Nt use an extensin crd r an adapter plug Fr the mst efficient peratin, the freezer shuld be lcated where surrunding temperatures will nt exceed 110 F (43 C). Temperatures f 32 F (0 C) and belw will NOT affect freezer peratin. 6 DOOR REMOVAL (UPRIGHT MODELS) If dr must be remved t fit thrugh narrw drways, 1 Gently lay freezer n its back, n a thrw rug r blankel 2, Remve the base panel by unscrewing tw screws frm frnt f base panel. Remve wire frm clips n bttm f cabinet (Figure I) 3 Unplug cnnectr by hlding the cabinet cnnectr in piace, and pulling dr cnnectr ut (Figure 1) 4 At the tp f the cabinet, tift up plastic hinge cver, and fld back (Figure 2) 5 Use a Phillips@ screwdriver t lsen and retighten the screws n the tp hinge t insure a secure assembly, and prevent hinge slippage, 6 Remve the tp hinge frm cabinet, and lift dr ff lwer hinge pin 7 After dr is remved, remve the tw screws frm the bttm hinge 8 T replace dr, reverse abve rder. POWER ON LIGHT The yellw Pwer On indicatr light indicates that the freezer is prperly cnnected t electrical pwer The light glws even when the temperature cntrl is turned t OFF If the light ges ut, refer t Freezer Des Nt Run Sectin in the Trubleshting Guide ff the freezer appears t be perating, the light element may be burned ut. Call an authrized servicer fr replacement. TEMP ALARM (SOME MODELS) This feature is designed t prvide a warning if the inside temperatures reach an unsafe level The Temp. Alarm Feature perates n husehld electricity It wilt nt functin if husehld electricity is interrupted. When the freezer is initially plugged in, the red Temp Alarm Indicatr Light blinks. The indicatr light will cntinue t blink until the freezer has reached a safe freezing temperature. If a malfunctin causes an unsafe temperature inside the freezer, the red light will blink and the buzzer will sund. T silence the buzzer, press the ALARM OFF buttn.. A _,_inch garden hse adapter can be used t drain the freezer directly int a flr drain.if yur mdel is nt equipped with an adapter, ne can be purchased at mst hardware stres Replace the drain plug when defrsting and cleaning are cmpleted If the drain is left pen, warm air may enter the freezer.
