Remve pins, decrative buttns, belt buckles, and ther bjects which culd be damaged. This als helps prtect ther items in the wash lad. Mend rips and tears t prevent further damage during washing. Place delicate items such as bras, shulder pads, hsiery, and belts in a mesh bag t prevent tangling during the wash cycle. Turn knit items inside ut t prevent pilling. 3. Pretreat stains and heavy sil. See Stain Remval fr details. 4. Add laundry lad t washer. Cmbine large and small items in a lad. Lad large items first. Large items shuld nt be mre than half the ttal wash lad. Place delicate items in a mesh bag. Washing single items such as a sweater, twel r jeans may cause an ut-f-balance lad. Add 1 r 2 similar items t help balance the lad. Single heavy items such as a bedspread can be washed separately. Add laundry lad t washer. S. OPENING AND CLOSING THE DISPENSER DRAWER Slwly pen the dispenser drawer by first sliding the safety latch t the right, then pulling the drawer ut until it stps. 7 Care and Cleaning Outside When washing is cmpleted, wipe tp and sides f washer with a damp clth. Turn water faucets ff t prevent pressure build-up in the hses. As needed, clean the cabinet with mild sap and water. Never use harsh, gritty r abrasive cleansers. If dr r cnsle becmes stained, clean with diluted chlrine bleach [1/2 cup (120 ml) in 1 quart (.95 L) water]. Rinse several times with clear water. Figure 1 (Lck tab is visible nly after drawer has been pulled ut) J Remve glue residue frm tape r labels with a mixture f warm water and mild detergent. Or, tuch residue with the sticky side f the tape r label. Befre mving the washer, place a strip f cardbard r thin fiberbard under the frnt leveling legs t prevent flr damage. Cleaning the Dispenser Drawer Area Detergent and fabric sftener may build up in the dispenser drawer. Residue shuld be remved nce r twice a mnth. Remve the drawer by first sliding the safety latch t the right, then pulling the drawer ut until it stps. (Figure 1) H Figure 2 / Reach back int the left rear crner f the drawer cavity and press dwn firmly n the lck tab (left rear prtin f the drawer). Pull ut the drawer. (Figure 2) Remve the insert frm the bleach and fabric sftener cmpartments. (Figure 3) Rinse the drawer and inserts with ht tap water t remve traces f accumulated pwders and liquids. Large amunts f fabric sftener residue may indicate imprper dilutin r mre frequent cleaning is required. T clean the drawer pening, use a small brush t clean the recess. Remve all residue frm the upper and lwer parts f the recess. (Figure 4) iii,,,,,_qii Replace the insert pressing the "X" t lck it in place. Return the dispenser drawer. Inside Remve items frm the washer as sn as the cycle ends. Excess wrinkling, clr transfer, and drs may develp in items left in the washer. Remve this by wiping the drum with a nnabrasive husehld cleanser. Rinse thrughly with water.... / _ Peridically, wipe dry the flds in the bttm f the flexible gasket t remve lint and ther debris. The plastic drum vanes may becme stained frm fabric dye. Clean these parts with a nnabrasive husehld cleanser. This prevents dye transfer t future lads. Winterizing Instructins If the washer is stred in an area where freezing can ccur r mved in freezing temperatures, fllw these winterizing instructins t prevent damage t the washer: Fllw Winterizing Instructins fr cld wea th er care. 1. Turn ff water supply faucets. 2. Discnnect hses frm water supply and drain water frm hses. 3. Plug electrical crd int a prperly grunded electrical utlet. 4. Add 1 galln (3.8 L) nntxic recreatinal vehicle (RV) antifreeze t empty wash drum. Clse dr. 5. Select the Drain/Spin cycle. Press START and let the washer drain fr 1 minute t drain ut all the water. Nt all f the RV antifreeze will be expelled. 6. Press Pause/Cancel twice, unplug electrical pwer crd, dry ff drum interir and clse dr. 7. Remve dispenser drawer. Drain any water in cmpartments and dry cmpartments. Replace drawer. 8. Stre washer in an upright psitin. 9. T remve antifreeze frm washer after strage, run empty washer thrugh a cmplete cycle using detergent. D nt add wash lad.

If sund cntinues, Thumping sund, washer is prbably ut f balance. Stp washer and redistribute wash lad. Vibrating nise. Washer is nt resting firmly n flr. Mve washer s it rests firmly n flr. Adjust leveling legs and tighten lck nuts. See INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS fr details. Shipping blts and fam blck have nt been remved during installatin. See INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONSfr remving shipping blts and fam blck. Wash lad unevenly distributed in drum. Stp washer and rearrange wash lad. OPERA TING POSSIBLE CAUSE / SOLUTION Electrical pwer crd may nt be plugged in r cnnectin may be lse. Make sure plug fits tightly Washer des nt start, in wall utlet. Huse fuse blwn, circuit breaker tripped, r a pwer utage has ccurred. Reset circuit breaker r replace fuse. D nt increase fuse capacity. If prblem is a circuit verlad, have it crrected by a qualified electrician. If prblem is a pwer utage, call lcal electric cmpany. Water supply faucets are nt turned n. Turn n water supply faucets. Mtr is verheated. Washer mtr will stp if it becmes verheated. It will autmatically restart after a cl dwn perid f up t 30 minutes (if washer has nt been manually turned ff). Washer dr is nt cmpletely clsed. Clse dr cmpletely. Washer wn't spin. Lad is t small. Add 1 r 2 similar items t help balance the lad. Residue left in drum. WATER Heavily siled items. Wipe drum with a nnabrasive husehld cleanser, then rinse. Water cmpartments, may be remved by remving the dispenser drawer (see Page 7, Figures 1 and 2) and draining water int the empty drum r sink. Wash lad t wet after spin. Washer is verladed. D nt verlad washer. See Washing Prcedures. Lad is t small. Add 1 r 2 similar items t help balance the lad. Lad is ut f balance. Rearrange lad t allw prper spinning. Water des nt enter washer r it enters slwly. Drain hse is kinked. Straighten drain hse. Water supply is nt adequate in area. Check anther faucet in the huse. Wait until water supply and pressure increase. Water supply faucets are nt cmpletely pen. Fully pen ht and cld faucets. Water is being used elsewhere in the huse. Water pressure must be at least 30 psi (260 kpa). Avid running water elsewhere while washer is filling. Water inlet hses are kinked. Straighten hses. Warm r ht water is nt ht enugh. Water in washer des nt drain r drains slwly. Ht water heater is set t lw r is a distance frm washer. Measure ht water temperature at nearby faucet with candy r meat thermmeter. Water temperature shuld be at least 120 F (49 C). Adjust water heater as necessary. Ht water is being used elsewhere in the huse. Avid using ht water elsewhere befre r during washer use. There may nt be enugh ht water available fr prper cleaning. If prblem persists, yur ht water system may be unable t supprt mre than 1 use at a time. Drain hse is kinked r clgged. Clean and straighten the drain hse. Maximum standpipe height is 8' (2.4 m). Huse drain pipes are clqqed. UncIq drain pipes. Cntact plumber if necessary. Water leaks. Fill hse cnnectin is lse at faucet r washer. Check and tighten hse cnnectins. Install rubber sealing washers prvided. Wrng detergent. Run rinse cycle. Use a lw-sudsing, high efficiency detergent. Oversudsing. T much detergent. Run rinse cycle. Use less detergent in future lads Incrrect wash and rinse temperatures. Ht and cld water hses are cnnected t wrng supply faucets. Cnnect ht water hse t ht water faucet and cld water hse t cld water faucet. Water is entering washer but tub des nt fill Drain hse standpipe is incrrect height. Standpipe must be a minimum f 23.6" (60 cm) high t prevent siphning. See INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS. 8
