We als advise that great care is taken during use and cleaning peratins. D make sure that the pan handles are always crrectly psitined t avid accidental cntact. When using electric cktps, we advise pts/pans with flat bttms having the same diameter r slightly larger that that f the element. Avid verflws f liquid by reducing the temperature nce the liquid has started t bil. Dn t leave the electric plates n withut pts/pans n the tp r with empty pts/pans. When yu have finished cking, turn the knb back t the 0 psitin. 4

5 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER INSTALLATION All peratins relative t installatin (electric cnnectin) shuld be carried ut by skilled persnnel in cnfrmity with the rules in frce. As fr the specific instructins, see part pertaining t the installer. USE Electric plates (Fig 1-2-3) Rtate the knb t the psitin crrespnding t the needs f cking, taking int cnsideratin that t a higher number heat supply crrespnds, see table use f electric plates Quick and nrmal plates clckwise and anticlckwise rtatin with 7 fixed psitins (0-6) Autmatic plates clckwise rtatin 0 t 12. The pilt light indicates when plate is cnnected. NB: Sme types f pilt lights will maintain sme slight luminescence even after discnnectin. This is quite nrmal. MAINTENANCE Befre any servicing is cmmenced, ensure the appliance is discnnected frm the pwer supply. It is imprtant t carry ut at regular intervals a general clean bearing in mind the fllwing: The stainless steel and enamelled parts shuld be cleaned by means f a nn-abrasive r nn-crrsive prduct. The stainless steel arund the elements may becme disclured. This is a nrmal characteristic f stainless steel and is nt a fault with the appliance. Avid leaving n the tp acid r alkaline substances (vinegar, sale, lemn juice, etc) The electric elements can be cleaned with a clth dampened with live il while the elements are still slightly warm. 5

6 INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE INSTALLER INSTALLATION These instructins are addressed t the qualified installer as a guide t installatin and maintenance in cmpliance with the laws and the rules in frce. Any f these peratins must nly be carried ut when the appliance has been discnnected frm the electricity supply. POSITIONING The appliance is designed t be installed in a bench tp as shwn in Figure 4. The sealing agent is t be applied t the perimeter f the cktp. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (Fig 5.) Befre carrying ut the electrical cnnectin, ensure that: The ratings n yur electrical circuit are sufficient and match what is specified n the cmpliance plate n the cktp. That the system is prvided with the effective earth in cmpliance with yur lcal electrical wiring rules and regulatins. If the appliance is nt fitted with a cable and/r relative plug, use a cable f V75 rating and suitable fr the rated current as marked n the cmpliance plate. The cable shuld nt reach a temperature higher than 50 degrees abve rm temperature. It is necessary t install an islatin switch with minimum pening between the cntacts f 3mm dimensined fr the plate lad and in cnfrmity with the rules in frce (the earth cable yellw/green shuld nt be interrupted by the switch). The switch shuld be easily reachable with the appliance installed. Once installed, the appliance shuld be turned n 2 elements at a time fr up t 10 minutes each t burn ff the prtective ils that are present n the elements. An amunt f smke may be present during the burn ff this is nrmal. NB The manufacturer declines all respnsibility if the abve rules and the usual safety rules are nt respected. 6
