This Electrical Therm has been manufactured in cmpliance with the mst demanding quality standards and fllwing the established in the Eurpean Nrms f Electrical Safety and Electrmagnetic Cmpatibility. The technical characteristics f the appliance are indicated n the nameplate lcated n the back f the lwer lid f the thermstat. The installatin must be carried ut by qualified persnnel. Any repair r maintenance wrk (remval f calcareus scale, change r revisin f the ande, etc.) must be carried ut by APARICI Authrized Technical Assistance Services. The lcatin will be chsen s that the inlet and utlet ducts can be easily cnnected with as few elbws as pssible, while at the same time permitting the replacement f the resistance. 2.- APPLIANCE WALL HANG Due t its particular design, the APARICI electrical terms in this series are intended t be installed vertically as shwn in Fig. 2 with the cld water inlet (F) n the right and the ht water utlet (C) n the left. Nte: The safety and check valve supplied with the appliance must be placed in the cld water intake pipe (F). In all cases a free space f at least 60 cm must be left. Between the lg cap f the thermstat and the nearest wall. 2

3 fig 2.- Mdels APARICI SC In all cases the wall must be thick enugh t withstand the water filled thermstat and the anchrage must be made by fur 8 mm diameter screws. In cases where the wall is sufficient but rather thin it is advisable t use reinfrcing plates. 3.- CONNECTION TO THE WATER SUPPLY. Befre cnnecting the appliance t the water mains, it must be taken int accunt the prvisins n the installatin f the same in the Technical Building Cde, the Regulatin f Thermal Installatins in Buildings and the EN-UNE standards fr Appliance Safety Appliances and Analgs part 2: Particular requirements fr electrical terms. Accrding t these prvisins, a stpcck (fig. 3 - '1') must be installed at the entrance and exit f the therm t allw its islatin frm the netwrk in case f repair r replacement. In additin, the appliance must incrprate a safety and retentin valve (fig 3 - '2') which, n the ne hand, will prevent the return f ht water t the cld grid and, n the ther hand, will act when superir verpressures ccur T the rating f the appliance. This verpressure is due t the increase in the vlume f water cntained in the therm, which ccurs during heating, which is why the valve will drip apprximately 3% f the capacity f the appliance. T evacuate the water drplets that are released thrugh the valve, a drain pipe must be installed. Fill the therms by leaving the ht water tap pen t expel air frm the appliance; Turn ff the tap when the water cmes ut. When the water is ht, the inlet and utlet fittings must be retightened t avid any pssible water leakage. 3

4 It is advisable t ensure that the pressure f the water system des nt exceed the nminal pressure f the appliance. If this is the case, it is necessary t install a pressure regulatr immediately after the water meter in the huse. Befre perating the electric heater, make sure that the appliance is prperly filled with water by pening a ht water faucet, and that the electrical installatin has been cmpleted. 4.- CONNECTION OF THE THERMO TO THE ELECTRIC NETWORK. The electrical installatin must be carried ut in accrdance with the regulatins in frce by authrized installers. These mdels must be cnnected t the mains by the plug f the pwer supply crd supplied with the appliance. Therefre the nly peratin t be perfrmed, frm the electrical pint f view, will be the cnnectin f this cable t a current base. If the flexible pwer cable f this appliance is damaged it must be replaced by the special pwer cable APARICI part number It is als essential t always install an mniplar switch t the mains supply, with a minimum pening between the 3 mm cntacts. The electrical installatin must fulfil the internatinal standards CEI Accrding t standards, electrical appliances must be installed fllwing the belw indicatins at bathrms and WC: these 1.- zne 0: Installatin is ttally frbidden at this area. It is als frbidden at zne 1 if it is a prefabricated shwer cabin. 2.- znes 1 and 2: IPX4 appliances with a wire which allws cnnectins 1,2 m frm shwer vertical and with an additinal RCS switch. 3.- In zne 3 yu can install appliances whse prtectin index against water penetratin is IPX The earth cnnectin f the therm is cmpulsry. If the premises r huse des nt have an earth line, we recmmend using a differential switch Fr a crrect and safe installatin f the electrical terms, it is recmmended t lcate it in zne 3 (fig. 5). 4

The maximum and minimum pressures f water inside the huse must be kept within the limits established by the Technical Building Cde between 1.5 and 5 bar. Als, as indicated in pint 3 f this manual, it is mandatry t install a shut-ff cck at the inlet and utlet f the appliance and a safety and check valve at the inlet. 2. It is cmpulsry t install a drain pipe t evacuate water drps frm safety valve. Pssible damages caused at hme due t this drps are nt respnsibility f APARICI. 3. If water pressure is higher than 2.5 bar we recmmend the installatin f a pressure reductin valve and a expansin vessel. The pressure reuctin valve must be installe as clse as psible frm the huse water inlet pipe. 4. The netwrk water must have a minimum quality characteristics t be acceptable under crrsin pint f view. The limits stablished by APARICI are the belw nes: Ryznar index less than 7. Cnductivity at 25 ºC < 350 / cm Chlrine (Cl - ) and sdium (Na +`) less than 75 mg/l 5. The use f chemical scale eliminatrs is allwed but the hardness must be regulated between 18ºF and 31 ºF. In case this level f lime is nt enugh fr the user, a by-pass must be installed that prevents the water frm entering the water sftener directly int the therm. 6. Finally, the therm must be installed in a place f easy accessibility that allws the replacement f the cmpnents r the repair f it in a simple and safe way (see, additinally, Sectins 1 and 2 f the Installer's Manual). In this way the installatin f the therms in skylights, false ceilings, attics, cabinets, etc... is nt recmmended. In any case, it is the respnsibility f the APARICI Technical Service t determine if the lcatin f the device is acceptable r nt. 5

6 USER'S MANUAL 1.- USER'S INSTRUCTIONS IMPORTANT: Be sure that the electric water heater is full f water by pening a ht water faucet. The electric water heater is ready t use at the mment it is plugged t electrical netwrk. The first peratin t be perfrmed is t select the pwer using the switches lcated n the frnt panel f the appliance. If switch I is turned n, the pwer will be 1300W. If the 2 is cnnected, the pwer will be 700W. With bth cnnected the ttal pwer will be 2000W. If the tank temperature is lwer than the ne selected at cntrller, the switch that is cnnected at that mment will light up ( I, II r bth). When the desired temperature is reached, the switch light will turn ff. Fig. 6 OFF I II ON The thermstat used in the APARICI SC mdels allws the regulatin f the water temperature inside tanks frm 35 C t 75 C by using a high sensitivity bulb. This fact allws t match the water temperature t the atmspheric cnditins f each seasn and als t the user needs. The temperature is increased by turning the cntrl knb cunterclckwise and decreasing if it is turned in the ppsite directin. Please nte that the indicated temperatures are apprximate. 2.- CLEANING. The external parts f the water heater may be cleaned with a mild detergent slutin. D nt use slvents and abrasives. Never try t repair any pssible faults f the water heater by yurself, but infrm abut it the nearest authrised service wrkshp. 3.- WATER HEATER DRAIN IN CASE OF FROST It is essential t empty the appliance if it must be ut f peratin in a place expsed t frst. T perfrm the emptying prceed t: Unplug the appliance frm electrical netwrk. Clse the water inlet t the water heater. Drain the water heater using the safety valve. Prtect the safety valve frm freezing. Fill the water heater befre plug in it again t electrical netwrk. Cntact the installer if the security grup has been frzen. 4.- CONDITIONS OF GUARANTEE APARICI thanks yu fr yur cnfidence in acquiring an appliance f ur manufacture and expects the prduct t meet the expectatins yu have placed n it. This warranty is a Cmmercial Guarantee n the electric pwer and independent f the rights that yu have against the seller derived frm the cntract f sale f yur term (cmmercial invice + APARICI Catalg). 6

7 These rights are regulated in Title V f Real Legislative Decree 1/2007 f Nvember 16 and are perfectly cmpatible with this Cmmercial Guarantee. The afrementined legal text entitles him as a cnsumer and user t request repair r replacement f the term free f charge in the event f a lack f cnfrmity f the apparatus with respect t the cntract, prvided that the ptin chsen is nt bjectively impssible r ecnmically disprprtinate t the ther. The lack f cnfrmity that manifests itself in the first 6 mnths after delivery f the term, is presumed, unless prven therwise, that existed at the time f delivery. Therefre, please infrm the cmpany immediately t prevent majr evils and be able t slve the prblem as sn as pssible and with the least prejudice t yu. Frm the first 6 MONTHS, APARICI extends the warranty up t TWO YEARS frm the date f delivery, based n this Cmmercial Guarantee. During this perid, the Official Technical Service will determine which parts must be repaired r replaced by new parts, including the warranty bth the displacement and the labr necessary fr its repair, prvided that the damage is due t a nn-cnfrmity f ur present apparatus at the time f delivery. In this case, it is the user wh must prve that said nn-cmpliance existed at the time f delivery f the term. In all cases discussed s far, the assembly, disassembly and transprt f the device will be at the user's expense. If it is necessary t replace the term, the guarantee granted t it will be the ne that will remain t the apparatus that replaces, being, at least 6 MONTHS, but in n case will begin a new perid f cmmercial guarantee. All the terms must be installed in an accessible way fr the SAT technicians, being in charge f the user the prvisin f the necessary means and the expenses that allw the access t the term fr its repair. Based n the current regulatins n Occupatinal Safety and Health, technicians may refuse t perfrm any repair that, due t the installatin cnditins f the device, may pse a risk t their physical integrity. This warranty des nt include damage caused by frce majeure (atmspheric r gelgical phenmena), imprper installatin (inadequate water pressure r pressure) and plastic cmpnents, pilts, enamels and paints that have been damaged by blws r falls. It als des nt include damage caused by the use f aggressive water (it is cnsidered aggressive water that cmplies with any f the fllwing cnditins: Ryznar index less than 7. Cnductivity at 25 ºC < 350 / cm Chlrine (Cl - ) and sdium (Na +`) less than 75 mg/l Ttal hardness <18 F), with a ttal hardness f less than 18 F r greater than 31 F. This warranty des nt cver damage caused by r resulting frm an missin r nn-cmpliance with the regulatins that are detailed in the instructins bk fr the installatin and use f the appliance, which als include recmmendatins fr btaining a maximum yield f the same. Failure t cmply with the instructins prescribed in this manual means imprper use f the device frm a technical and persnal pint f view, and this will render the manufacturer and / r legally established representative harmless frm any accident. Persns r damage t things and / r the appliance, excluding any damage resulting frm imprper handling r imprper treatment f the appliance. Likewise, this guarantee des nt include damages that are caused by imprper r nn-dmestic use f the electric pwer, either in public establishments r in prfessinal activities. Items that have been manipulated by persns utside APARICI r that have nt been expressly authrized by APARICI. This warranty is valid nly in Spanish territry and is subject t the exceptins mentined abve. In the event f a breakdwn, yu can cnsult the dcumentatin f yur device t see which service is nearest t yu, access the cmpany's website ( r yu can cntact the telephne number Likewise, if yu need t make any legal cmmunicatin with ur cmpany yu shuld cntact NOFER, SL, Avenida de la Fama, Crnellá de Llbregat - Barcelna (nfer@nfer.cm), as exclusive distributr f the terms with brand APARICI. VERY IMPORTANT! TO HAVE THE RIGHT TO THIS WARRANTY MUST BE SUBMITTED UNEXCUSTABLE AT THE TIME OF THE INTERVENTION OF THE SERVICE OF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, THE ACCREDITATION OF THE DATE OF RECEIPT OF THE APPLIANCE THROUGH THE INVOICE OR TICKET OF PURCHASE OF THE SAME. IN CASE OF NEW WORK SHOULD PRESENT THE CITY HABITABILITY OF HOUSING. 7

8 IMPORTANT: CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR OBTAINING THE EXTENSION OF WARRANTY: In rder t btain the extensin f the cmmercial guarantee f the equipment yu have purchased, in this case 3 additinal YEARS fr the CALDERIN (5 in ttal), yu must send us the cmpleted card, nt later than 30 calendar days Of the date f purchase and, upn return f mail, will be sent the cntract that accredits yu as beneficiary f the cmmercial guarantee granted by ur brand. If yu d nt receive it within 30 days, yu can claim the dcumentatin at the telephne number Als, the data f yur device are registered in ur database. T benefit frm the afrementined extensin f warranty fr the biler, the annual replacement f the ande is nt necessary in the case f the SC30, SC50 and SC80 mdels. On the cntrary, fr SC100 mdels, it is mandatry t replace the tw andes frm the third year f use f the appliance. The first replacement f the same can nt be delayed beynd 26 mnths frm the date f purchase. This extensin f cmmercial guarantee will nt be valid in case f installatin and nn-dmestic use f the appliance (Hairdressers, Gyms, etc.) In these cases will nly be cvered by title V f Real Legislative Decree 1/2007 f Nvember 16. This extensin can nt be requested fr the Autnmus Cmmunity f the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla. 8
