Please entrust the dealer r prfessinal persn t mve and reinstall the air-cnditiner. Incrrect installatin will cause water leakage, electrical shck r fire. D nt maintain the unit by yurself. Incrrect maintenance will cause water leakage, electrical shck r fire. Ensure if the drain pipe can drain the water well. Installatin cautin Ensure the drainage. Incrrect installatin will cause water leakage and humidify the furniture. Ensure the creepage prtectin switch. Ensure the installatin place. Ensure the installatin f creepage prtectin switch. The creepage prtectin switch must be installed. Otherwise, electric shck. Never install the air-cnditiner in the place where the flammable gas is easy t leak. If the leakage f flammable gas happens, fire arund the indr unit. User cautin Ventilate Frbid Ensure the installatin bracket. Ventilatin shuld be perated regularly when using with the flammable appliance. Insufficient ventilatin will cause lack f xygen. D nt put the flammable appliance near the air utlet. It will cause the flammable appliance burn incmpletely. Ensure whether the installatin bracket has been wrn ut after being used fr a lng time. In case f abrasin t unit fall and cause injur. 2

The air cnditiner can nt be used t cnserve fd, plant, precisin instrument and artwrks etc.. uality. Discnnect the pwer and stp the peratin when repairing. The fan cause injury. D nt use the fuse whse capacity exceeds the defined value. Using the irn wire r brass wire as fuse can cause fire and malfunctin. The pwer must use the specified circuit under the rated vltage. Nte Befre Operatin Cnfirm Befre Operatin Make sure that the grund wire is nt brken r fallen ff. Make sure the air filter is installed. Turn n the pwer switch fr 12 hurs befre the peratin. Abut Heating Capacity Heating the utdr unit absrbs utdr heat then transmit the heat t the indr unit. When the heating pump starts, the utdr unit blws the cld air and the utdr temp fall. Defrsting during the Heating Operatin Under the heating mde, when frst generat n the utdr unit the air cnditiner starts defrsting autmatically. (Abut 2~10 minutes) Indr/Outdr fan stps running during the defrsting. Abut 3 Minutes Prtectin The utdr unit w nt run within 3 minutes during restarting. This is self-prtectin f the unit. 3

6 Abut Pwer Off All the peratins will stp if there is a pwer. The buzzer the display will make a sund and the peratin indicatr will flash when the pwer a failure. Press ON/OFF buttn t restart the unit. Abut Prtectin Device hen starting the unit cmpulsrily while the unit des nt prepare fr the starting, the n/ff indicatr lights, the prtectin device is activated and the unit stps. Heating Capacity Drp When the utdr temperature is lw the heating capacity drps. Please use the air cnditiner with ther heating equipments r purchase the digital scrll central air cnditiner auxiliary heating device. When the Prtectin Device is Activated Cling Operatin The air intake and the air utlet f the utdr unit are blcked. Strng wind utside is blwing int the air utlet f the utdr unit. Heating Operatin The air filter is t dirty. The air intake and the air utlet f the indr unit are blcked. Fan Runs after the Indr Unit Stpped T prtect the machine, ne f the indr units stp running while the ther indr units are still running, and its fan cntinues t run at lw speed fr 3 minutes every 1 hur n cling peratin r every 4 hurs n heating peratin. CAUTION Cnfirm the air filter is installed. The heat exchanger can accumulate dust r leak water withut the air filter. One indr unit can run alne, r run with ther indr units, but cannt run under heating mde while thers run under cling mde. This appliance can be used by children aged frm 8 years and abve and persns with reduced physical, sensry r mental capabilities r lack f experience and knwledge if they have been given supervisin r instructin cncerning use f the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards invlved. Children shuld nt play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shuld nt be made by children withut supervisin. This appliance is nt intended fr use by persns (including children) with reduced physical, sensry r mental capabilities, r lack f experience and knwledge, unless they have been given supervisin r instructin cncerning use f the appliance by a persn respnsible fr their safety. Children shuld be supervised t ensure that they d nt play with the appliance. If the supply crd is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent r similarly qualified persns in rder t avid a hazard. D nt perate yur air cnditiner in a wet rm such as a bathrm r laundry rm. 4

7 CAUTION D nt discnnect the pwer. Put the luver hrizntally when cling. D nt discnnect the pwer. D nt discnnect the pwer when the unit is in peratin. Please cntrl it with the remte cntrller. There will be water cndensing n the luvers if setting the luvers dwn when cling. (Cassette type nly) Cnnect t the pwer 12 hurs befre starting the unit. Place it away frm TV r radi. 12 hurs befre T prtect the cmpressr, please turn n the pwer switch 12 hurs befre starting the unit. Put the TV r radi away frm the air cnditiner at least 1 meter, r signal will be interfered. One f the indr units can nt run n the cling mde while the ther indr units run n the heating mde. Please run every indr unit n the same mde. 5

Suggestin: Fr the unit adpts an Electric Heater, when the utside ambient temperature O O is belw 0 C(32 F), we strngly recmmend yu t keep the machine plugged in rder t guarantee it running smthly. Special functins Refrigerant Leakage Detectin(ptinal): With this new technlgy, the dipsplay area will appear EC (if applicable) and the LED indicatin lamps cntinue flashing when the utdr unit detects refrigerant leakage.,, Luver Angle Memry Functin(ptinal): Fr sme mdels, the machine is specially designed with luver angle memry functin. Pwer failure during peratin r pressing the ON/OFF buttn n the remte cntrller will stp the unit cmpletely.when the pwer restres r pressing the ON/OFF buttn n the remte cntrller again,the unit restarts autmatically with the previus pen angle f the hrizntal luver by the memry functin.s we strngly recmmend that the pen angle f the hrizntal luver shuld nt be set t small,in case cndensed water frms and drps frm the hrizntal luver. Press the Manual cntrl buttn and the pen angle f the hrizntal luver will be restred t the standard angle. 9

12 ADJUSTING THE AIR FLOW DIRECTION Because cld air flws dwn and ht air flws up, t imprve the cling and heating effect, please adjust air flw luver directin t prvide a natural and equal temperature in the rm fr mre cmfrtable cnditining. NOTE : The heating peratin with hrizntal air ut let will increase the difference f the rm temperature.! Ntice Ntice the luver directin Chse hrizntal utlet mde when cling peratin When in cling peratin, the air flw dwn will cause cndensing dew n the air utlet and luver surface. Fur-Way Cassette Type Cling peratin Adjust the luver hrizntally. Heating peratin Adjust the luver dwn. When using the panel with aut luver, press SWING buttn t autmatically swing the aut luver and achieve the best cling(heating) effects. Duct-Ceiling Type The fllwing is hw t adjust the air flw directin when the air utlet parts (sld separately) are used with the indr unit. Cling T effectively cl the whle rm, please adjust the luver hrizntally. Heating T effectively heat the bttm f the rm please set the luver dwnwards. 10

13 Ceiling-Flr Type Aut-swing Press SWING buttn, the luver will swing up and dwn(left and right) autmatically. Manual Swing Adjust the luver t achieve better cling/ heating effects when cling/heating. When cling Adjust the luver hrizntally. When heating Adjust the luver dwnwards (vertically). MAINTENANCE CAUTION Only a specialized maintenance persn can perfrm the maintenance wrk. The main pwer switch must be turned ff befre ding electrical cnnectin r cleaning the air filter. D nt use water r air f temperature abve 50 t clean the air filter r the panel. METHOD FOR CLEANING THE AIR FILTER The air filter can prevent the dust r ther particles frm ging inside. In case f blckage f the filter, the wrking efficiency f the air cnditiner may greatly decrease. Therefre, the filter must be cleaned nce every tw weeks during lng time use. If the air cnditiner is psitined in a dust place, the cleaning frequency f the air filter must be increased. If the accumulated dust is t heavy t be cleaned, please replace the filter with a new ne(the replaceable air filter is an ptinal fitting). 1. Take ut the air-in grill Fur- Way Cassette Type Push the grill switches twards the middle simultaneusly as indicated in sketch A. Then pull dwn the air-in grill. Take ut the air-in grill (tgether with the air filter shwn in Sketch B).Pull the air-in grill dwn at 45 and lift it up t take ut the grill. Cautins: The cntrl bx cables, which are riginally cnnected with the main bdy electrical terminatrs must be pulled ff befre ding as indicated abve. 11

14 Fr Duct/Ceiling Type A B Push the grill switches t the arrw directins, then pen the air-in grill dwnwards. Turn back the air filter fixing blck, then take ut the air-in grill. 2. Dismantle the air filter. 3. Clean the air filter(vacuum cleaner r pure water may be used t clean the air filter. If the dust accumulatin is t heavy, please use sft brush and mild detergent t clean it and dry ut in the cl place). MAINTENANCE The air-in side shuld face up when using vacuum cleaner. The air-in side shuld face dwn when using water. Cautins : D nt dry ut the air filter under direct sunshine r with fire. Fr the ne-way cassette type, the air filter shuld be installed befre the unit bdy installatin. 4. Re-install the air filter. 5. Install and clse the air-in grill in the reverse rders f step 1 and 2 and cnnect the cntrl bx cables t the crrespnding terminatrs f the main bdy. CLEANING THE AIR OUTLET AND THE PANEL Use a dry and sft clth t wipe it. Pure water r mild detergent may be used if it is very dirty. CAUTIONS D nt use benzene, thinner, plishing pwer, r similar slvents fr cleaning. These may cause the surface t crack r defrm. T avid the risk f electrical shck r fire, d nt let water fall int the indr unit. Never wipe the air flw luver vilently. An air cnditiner withut air filter can nt expel the dust ut f the rm, which wuld cause malfunctins by accumulatin. MAINTENANCE OF THE OUTDOOR UNIT 1. Injur es may happen by imprper peratins because f the sharp blade f sme plates and the freezer. 2. Check the air utlet and the air inlet f the utdr unit regularly t ensure that they are nt chked by filth r st. 3. The cil and ther parts f the utdr unit shuld als be checked regularly. Please cntact yur lcal dealer. 12

15 IF YOU DO NOT PLAN TO USE THE UNIT FOR A LONG TIME Operate the fan fr abut half a day t dry the inside f the unit. Turn ff the unit with the ON/OFF buttn n the remte cntrller, then discnnect the pwer. NOTE When the pwer switch is cnnected, sme energy will be cnsumed, even if the unit is nt in peratin. S please discnnect the pwer t save energy. A degree f filth will be accumulated due t certain perfrmance after several seasns f peratin. S special maintenance is advised. Take ut the batteries frm the remte cntrller. RESTART AFTER A LONG TIME 1. Check befre peratin Check that the air utlets r inlets f the indr/ utdr unit are nt blcked. Check that the grunding wire is nt brken ff and is cnnected well. 2. Restre the air filter and the frnt panel The air filter and the frnt panel must be fixed t the riginal psitin after having been cleaned. 3. Cnnect the main pwer switch T prtect the air cnditiner, pwer shuld be prvided 12 hurs befre peratin. Then the OPERATION lamp n the cntrl bx f the indr unit will flash nce a secnd. AIR-CONDITIONER AUXILIARY HEATING EQUIPMENT In winter, due t the difference f the area and building cnstructin, please purchase the indr unit with auxiliary heating t enlarge the heating capacity. When turning t the heat mde the air-cnditiner with auxiliary heating will run at the set, temperature. N need t install auxiliary heating equipment n site fr 4-way cassette type and duct/ceiling type (with auxiliary heating). 13

16 ABNORMAL PHENOMENON Please read the fllwing illustratin befre applying fr the service: Trubles Frm utdr unit white cld fg and cndensing dew. hiss and pp are heard. Frm indr unit Nt malfunctin Hiss fr nce. Hiss and pp are heard. Abnrmal smell blwn ut. Operatin lamp flashes. Nise, hydrmeter and cld air appear when the running stps. Ksha can be heard when start. Causes Fan functin stp autmatically t defrst. It is the start and stp sund f the electrmagnetic valve. At the beginning and ending f the running prcess, sunds like water flw in valve appears, and be enhanced at the first 2~3 minutes, this is refrigerant flw sund. Slight hiss and pp are caused by mild flexing f the heat exchanger as temperature changes. Pieces f the wall, carpet, furniture, clth, cigarette and csmetics adhere t the unit. Cnnect t the pwer after pwer uttage. Other equipment's heating prcess stps the cling peratin. The peratr sets an ppsite mde against the fixed cling and heating mde. The refrigerant will suddenly mve t avid resrting in the indr unit, then caused kak sunds. Hydrmeter r cld air appears when ther indr unit is heating r cling. The sund f the expansin valve when supplied pwer. Stp running autmatically. Check it again D nt wrk N peratin Insufficient cling Insufficient heating If the timer reached the set time. If n pwer. If the fuse is blwn. If starting the prtectin device (the peratin lamp lights). If the timer is n the set time. If chsing the cling and heating simultaneusly. If the utdr unit air inlet r utlet is blcked. If the drs and windws are pen. If the dust filter is chked by cllective dust. If the air luver is in the right place. If the fan speed is shifted in lw r if the shift is under FAN mde. If the setting temperature is apprpriate. If the air cnditiner is fund t have any failures as mentined belw, please turn ff the pwer immediately. Then cntact the lcal dealer. ON/OFF peratin is nt valid. Fuse r leakage prtectr frequently blwn. Sme matter r water falls int the unit. Still n peratin after checking the prtectr(p4). Quite different frm ther indr unit r rdinary state. 14
