6 OP2 CONTROL PANEL The display shws the wrk values and the generatr alarm signals. The (DEL) MAN\AUT buttn changes the generatr peratin mde frm manual (MAN) t autmatic, AUT.SPEED r AUT. SPEC.POWER, and vice versa. The (ALT) SELECT buttn is used t access the set parameters page. When the switch n the generatr, yhe display present the main page that indicated the versin n the sftware uplad n the machine In this case the versin sftware is OP2 CT.7 Me.R spa Page 5 f 19

7 SETTING THE PARAMETERS Befre starting the treatment, certain perating parameters must be set n the Operatr Terminal by using the fllwing page. Press the (ALT) SELECT buttn t access set parameters Setting the parameters: 1 Press (ALT) SELECT and then (OK). 2 Mve the flashing cursr t the desired value by using keys. 3 Press (OK). 4 The flashing number can be changed by using. 5 Use t change the ther numbers. 6 Press (OK) t cnfirm. 7 T exit frm SET PARAMETERS press (ESC) twice. ELECT.LENG. (cm) Lenght f discharge electrdes (in cm.) PWR VARIAT. Permitted generatr utput pwer percentage variatin beynd which an alarm signal will be given. 10 MANUAL MODE In MANUAL MODE, the utput pwer PWR in W, the pwer level PL set (frm 0 t 100), the line speed (SPEED) in metres/minute and infrmatin r alarm signals are displayed T set PL press (OK) twice; the number can be changed by using keys; press (ESC) t exit. PL=0 minimum utput pwer. PL=100 maximum utput pwer. Press t display all the parameters. A = perating current absrbed by the inverter. (Amp) V = vltage applied t the inverter (Vlt) Kv= vltage applied t the discharge electrdes (kvlt) PL = pwer level (%) SPEED = line speed in m/min. Me.R spa Page 9 f 19

11 AUTOMATIC MODE (SPEED) In autmatic mde the utput pwer PWR in W, the set pwer level PL (frm 0 t 100), the line speed in metres/minute and any infrmatin r alarm signals are displayed. T set PL press (OK) twice and change the number by using keys press (ESC) t exit. PL=0 minimum utput pwer. PL=100 maximum utput pwer at the line speed set in the set parameters page at MAX.SPEED. In autmatic mde, the utput pwer PWR increases in prprtin t the speed f the line up t the PL value set. Example fr MR\B 3K OP2 generatr with utput pwer =3000Watt SET PARAMETERS MIN.SPEED= 10m MAX.SPEED=100m Actual line speed = 50m/min At these wrking cnditins with the PL set t 100, the machine will wrk nly at half f its efficiency, because the line speed is 50 mt/min. If the speed reaches the maximum value set (in this case 100 mpm) the generatr will emit 3000W. In this way the pwer may vary depending n the rller speed. If the rller speed decelerates t under 10 mpm (min. set speed) the generatr stps wrking and the peratr terminal displays the alarm signal message LOW SPEED Press t display all the parameters. 13 AUTOMATIC MODE (SPEED) FOR CORONA TREATMENT ON GLITTERING PLANT N.B. This page displays nly the sftware supplied with the crna treatment wrking n glittering plants. In autmatic mde the utput pwer PWR in W, the set pwer level PL (frm 0 t 100), the max speed setting in the SETTING PAGE (REG value), the line speed in metres/minute and any infrmatin r alarm signals are displayed. In this functin mde, the utput pwer PWR increases in prprtinally with the speed f the line up t the REG value set. Fr a crrect wrking way the PL value must be set t 100 and must nt be varied. It is pssible t vary the utput pwer f the electrnic generatr by changing REG value. At the first utilizatin f the plant, we recmmend t set the REG value with the same value f wrking speed during the nrmal prductin. Example: Line speed= Crna treater speed (REG value) = 500 m/min 500m Perfrm a treatment test.. T decrease the treatment level, increase the REG value. T encrease the treatment level, decrease the REG value. Imprtant: the value f the PL must be set t 100 and must nt be varied. Me.R spa Page 12 f 19

15 AUTOMATIC POWER SPECIFIC POWER In the autmatic peratin mde with specific pwer (AUT. SPEC. POWER), the specific effective pwer is displayed. (ACT) applied t the film and the set value in PL. PL is the specific pwer required and applied t the film in Wmin/m2 and cnstitutes the set pint fr the specific pwer prduced by the generatr. The PLC CPU calculates the specific pwer prduced by the generatr, cmpares it with the set pint and keeps it cnstant by means f an adjustment algrithm (equal t the value set). This adjustment system takes in cnsideratin prductin speed and any changes in lad resistance (variatins mainly due t the temperature n the electrdes, the dielectric cating f the rll and the airgap). Once the specific pwer value t be used with the required treatment has been determined, this peratin mde will ensure that the film is treated evenly. Any cnditins that cannt be cntrlled by the adjustment algrithm are indicated by a POWER ALARM signal. If the specific pwer inserted is t high, the POWER ALARM is als displayed when the generatr must prduce mre than the maximum pwer allwed in rder t maintain the specific pwer required. 16 ALARM SIGNAL With the exceptin f PWR ALARM, these signals will nt allw the generatr t start r, if it is already started, they will stp it autmatically. PWR ALARM Example.
