7 Special Features Indicatr Lights SOAK - lights during a sak cycle. WASH/RINSE - lights t indicate the washer is in a wash r rinse prtin f the cycle. ON - lights whenever the washer is running. Bleach Dispenser The dispenser autmatically dilutes liquid chlrine bleach befre it reaches yur wash lad. T use, fllw these steps: 1. Measure liquid chlrine bleach carefully, fllwing the instructins n the bttle. 2. Add the bleach t the dispenser befre adding the lad. Avid splashing r ver-filling the dispenser. NOTE: Never pur undiluted liquid chlrine bleach directly nt the lad r int the wash tub. it is a pwerful chemical and can cause fabric damage, such as tearing r clr lss, if nt used prperly. Fabric Sftener Dispenser This dispenser autmatically releases liquid fabric sftener at the prper time during the cycle. T use, fllw these steps: 1. Pur liquid fabric sftener int the dispenser using the amunt recmmended n the package. 2. Add warm water t the dispenser until it reaches the MAX line. 3. D nt use fabric sftener with a duble wash cycle. NOTE: D nt stp the washer during the first spin. This will cause the dispenser t empty t sn. Never pur fabric sftener directly n the lad. It will leave spts and stains. Use the dispenser fr liquid fabric sfteners nly. Clean the area in and arund the dispenser frequently with ht water, detergent and a sft brush. If yu prefer t use clr-safe, nn-chlrine bleach, pur it int the wash tub with yur detergent. D nt pur nn-chlrine bleaches int the bleach dispenser. Pur liquid fabric sftener int cup and dilute with warm water. Duble Wash Detergent Dispenser Pur liquid chlrine bleach int bleach dispenser. Yu will find a secnd gray clred dispenser cup packed with yur washer. Liquid detergent is pured int this cup fr a Duble Wash cycle. It is placed in the tp f the agitatr. The detergent will autmatically be dispensed during the secnd wash as fresh water enters the tub. 6

Detergent Use either liquid r granular laundry detergent. Fr best results, be sure detergent is added t the washer BEFORE the lad and be sure wash water is abve 65 F. Use the crrect amunt f detergent fr the lad size, sil level and water cnditins. Use mre detergent if yu have hard water and very siled lads. If yu have sft water r a lightly siled lad, use less detergent. (See manufacturer's instructins.) Wipe up any detergent spills n the washer. Lading Put dry, unflded clthes lsely in the tub, up t the tp rw f hles fr a maximum lad. D nt wrap large items like sheets arund the agitatr. Mix large and small items fr best circulatin. Wash bulky items like blankets separately. When laundering permanent press items r items f delicate cnstructin, washable wiens r lsely knit items, never use less than the MEDIUM water level setting. This will minimize shrinkage, wrinkling and pulling f seams. Fr best results, add the detergent t washtub befre adding the lad. Additinal "tips If the washer stps during the spin, it may be due t an unevenly distributed lad. If this happens, push in the cntrl knb, pen the lid, redistribute the lad, clse the lid and pull ut the cntrl knb. The spin will resume at the pint it was interrupted. The washer will pause briefly thrughut each cycle. These pauses are nrmal. This washer is designed s that it will nt agitate r spin when the lid is pen. It will, hwever, fill with the lid pen s water is available fr pretreating stains r diluting fabric sftener. If yu pen the lid during a cycle, the washer will stp. When the lid is clsed and the cntrl knb pulled ut, the washer will cntinue the cycle at the pint it was interrupted.

9 Care and Cleaning Turn ff the water faucets after finishing the day's washing. This will shut ff the water supply t the washer and prevent the unlikely pssibility f damage frm escaping water. Use a sft clth t wipe up all detergent, bleach r ther spills as they ccur. Clean the fllwing as recmmended: Cntrl Panel - clean with a sft, damp clth and glass cleaner. D nt use abrasive pwders r cleaning pads. Cabinet - clean with sap and water fllwed with an appliance wax, if desired. Interir - hard water depsits may be remved, if needed, using a recmmended cleaner labeled washer safe. Lint Filter - these are self-cleaning and require n maintenance. They are lcated under the agitatr n the bttm f the washtub. During the wash and rinse prtin f the cycle, lint is cllected n the filters. Then during the spin and drain the filters are cleaned autmatically. String the Washer leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee6eee Washers can be damaged if water is nt remved frm hses and internal cmpnents befre strage. Prepare the washer fr strage as fllws: Select the NORMAL cycle fr regular fabrics and add ne cup f bleach r white vinegar t a full lad f water withut clthes. Run the washer thrugh a cmplete cycle. Turn the water faucets ff and discnnect the inlet hses. Advance the cycle cntrl knb t Spin and lwer the drain hse t eliminate any water that may be in the drain hse. Discnnect the washer frm the electrical supply and leave the washer lid pen t let air circulate inside the tub. Is Nisy Be sure washer is leveled prperly as utlined in installatin manual. Weak flrs can cause vibratin and walking. Be sure rubber feet are installed n leveling legs. Fills with the Wrng Temperature Water Turn bth faucets n fully. If equipped with a temperature selectr knb, be sure it is set directly n a temperature setting and nt between settings. Make sure temperature selectin is crrect. Make sure hses are cnnected t crrect faucets and inlet cnnectins. Be sure water supply is regulated crrectly. Flush water line befre filling washer. Check the water heater. It shuld be set t deliver a minimum 120 F (49 C) ht water at the tap. Als check water heater capacity and recvery rate. Discnnect hses and clean screens.
