Better understand hw t select these Devices fr use at Amtrak facilities. Develp cst-effective slutins that can be readily implemented at existing Amtrak facilities as a standard retrfit. 6 Device Selectin Data and Study Results The UNH Strmwater Center (UNHSC) participated in the study and prvided data frm their research center and field site. The UNHSC data and study suggest: An ffline, deep sump catch basin (DSCB) with a hded utlet perfrms at least as well as similar devices tested t remve TSS and TPH. 73% TSS remval efficiency 62% TPH remval efficiency A DSCB with a hded utlet als appears t be the mst cst-effective ptin. 6

7 Device Selectin Summary The factrs that have the greatest influence n pllutant remval efficiency frm strmwater flws appear t be: 1. Bypassing high flws via ffline cnfiguratin r an engineered flw bypass 2. Adequate sizing f the Device 3. Sediment and flatable (petrleum) strage capacity (t reduce maintenance frequency) 4.
