5 BEFORE AND AFTER The Cpers FireMaster fire curtain is an active fire curtain barrier that remain invisibly retracted until activated by an alarm r detectr signal, at which time they descend safely t their fire peratinal psitin. The standard fabric used ffers 120 minutes integrity. AFTER Cntrls are custm made t be fully cmpatible with bth existing alarm systems and the number f barrier units installed, whether single r multiple rller assemblies. When an alarm signal is detected, the cntrl panel will autmatically trigger all the Barrier systems t deply by cntrlled descent using ur unique Ttal Gravity Fail-Safe (TGFS) system. WHY WOULD I NEED A FIRE CURTAIN FOR MY HOME? Yur hme is legally required t cmply with stringent fire regulatins designed t help prtect yu and yur family frm the deadly effects f fire and smke. Standards are yur best means f ensuring yur fire curtain will prtect yu in the event f a fire. If the fire curtain des nt carry the crrect certificatin, then it s very likely that it hasn t been tested t the crrect standards, putting bth yur hme and its ccupants at risk. Furthermre, if the fire curtain desn t meet the crrect standards, yur prjects will fail t meet building cntrl apprval. 1. Fr prtecting a means f an escape, it s vital that yur fire curtain meets with PAS 121 and is certified t prvide an Insulating Zne r tenable area. This stringent requirement is specifically designed t prvide any ccupants evacuating a building with prtectin frm heat radiatin. 2. If replacing a nn-ladbearing wall, then ask fr evidence that the fire curtain has achieved PAS 121 standards in accrdance with BS EN certificatin. 3.
