Please remember that when yu are wrking at the Cna Hstel r any f its affiliates, yu are the public face f the cmpany. Punctuality Husekeepers are expected t arrive n time and be ready t begin wrking at the time they are scheduled fr. If yu are unable t make it in fr yur shift, please let yur supervisr knw as sn as pssible s alternate arrangements can be made. Cell Phnes Cell phnes are required fr cmmunicatin purpses but are nt t be used within view f guests. Refrain frm persnal use f cell phnes during wrk hurs they are a distractin that slws up the pace f wrk quite cnsiderably. If yu are expecting cmmunicatin that yu must respnd t, such as crdinating rides in twn, then let yur supervisr knw s that it isn t assumed that yu are taking persnal time. Abuse f cell phne privileges will result in phne use restricted t break times. We suggest yu set a distinct text/ring tne fr all staff cntacts in yur phne s that yu are nt distracted by persnal. High pace This jb is high paced and everyne needs t chip in. At the start r finish t the wrk day, everyne gets ging faster and n their way hme if we all wrk tgether as a team. If yu arrive at a unit where thers are already wrking, ask where yu are needed mst. Payrll Pay perids: 1-15th f the mnth with a payday f the 22nd f the mnth 16th t the last day f the mnth with a payday f the 7th f the mnth Please ensure yu are tracking the hurs fr each task and lcatin in the time lg. Time lgs are dne nline and t the nearest fifteen minutes. Yu will have access t the wifi in mst lcatins if yu d nt have a data package n yur phne. If technlgy fails, each cleaning bucket will have a laminated time lg and specific pen t fill ut fr backup in these situatins. Upn cmpletin f the shift, a pht needs t be taken by yur supervisr r by yur wrk partner and sent t the supervisr n the day. Yur supervisr will lg yur time fr yu. IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BE ACCURATELY LOGGING YOUR TIME ON THE DAY THAT YOU WORKED. Any crrectins t yur time lg must be made as sn as pssible. The lg is used fr invicing the client. Waiting until pay day t lg missing hurs is nt acceptable as the client will have already been inviced.

2 Breaks Meal breaks f 30 minutes are unpaid and are taken n shifts lnger than 5 hurs. We expect yu t be self-sufficient with the timing f yur breaks and the cleaning schedule. Fr example, take a break after finishing ne prperty and befre mving t the next. Turnvers generally fall between 11am and 4pm, s arrive at wrk nurished and energized because frm 11 t 4 n a busy day there will be n time fr a meal break in thse hurs. Yu may take a meal befre r after. We encurage yu t take a paid 15 minute break t have a snack but never d s in a residential unit r a vacatin rental that has been cleaned. It is a high energy, high paced five hurs and we want t ensure yu have the stamina t finish. It is ften the nly break yu will get. If yu are wrking the evening shift at the Cna Hstel frm 4 pm t 9 pm, yur 30 minute mealbreak is a paid break. Start f the wrk day: If yu are wrking at the Cna Hstel, the wrk day starts there. If yu are wrking fr CVG at Munt Washingtn, the wrk day starts at Unit Henry Rad, Ptarmigan Ridge the cnd. If yu are a supervisr and assigned t drive yu may lg travel time r mileage n yur time lg as fllws: ALL AMOUNTS ARE FOR THE ROUND-TRIP. TIME PAID IS TACKED ON YOUR TIME LOG UNDER TRAVEL. All ther emplyees are paid frm the marshalling pint which in mst cases is Henry Rad unless yu have received ther instructins.

3 Transprtatin: Yu are respnsible fr crdinating yur transprtatin. Optins are: Get a ride up with yur supervisr. Meeting lcatins fr a ride depend n where the vehicle is and wh is driving: Karla and Brian s huse, The Cna Hstel r the base f the muntain in the large parking lt. Camern, Kelsey, Madeleine and Karla are the regular supervisrs. Cmmunicate with them the day befre yur shift if yu want a ride. Take the bus. Bus passes, if needed, can be acquired thrugh Karla fr the duratin f the ski seasn. Let us knw if yu will need ne and Cna Vacatin Getaways will purchase it fr yu if it simplifies staff transprtatin.. Pick up lcatins and times are listed n Munt Washingtn s website. If it is a cmmunal bus pass that is purchased, yu may use the pass t get up the muntain n days ff prvided it is nt required by anyne else wh is wrking. Als, n days ff, there may be a space in the vehicle t catch a ride s that yu may enjy a day ff n the hill. The space unfrtunately cannt be guaranteed fr the ride dwn as that depends n hw much laundry/garbage needs t travel dwn in the vehicle as well. Yur wn wheels. Allw time t walk frm the Hawk Parking Lt if parking is limited. And if yu are bringing yur wn vehicle with the hpe f staying with friends after wrk, be sure t rganize a parking pass as there is n vernight parking n the muntain withut ne unless it is a private, drive-in access chalet r cnd. General Cleaning Prcedures We use the Nrwex line f cleaning prducts at CVG. There are exceptins t this rule when we are fllwing specific wner instructins and in these cases the cleaning prducts are prvided by the wner. They must be ntified if supplies are running lw s cntact yur supervisr. Nrwex is an envirnmentally friendly methd f cleaning which is heavily based n using water and antibacterial clths. Fr thse hard t clean areas that require extra sanitizatin, we have a cuple f green prducts - A-ben-a-qui cleaning paste and Oxygenic perxide based cleaners. There are ther items that require specific cleaning prcedures, such as stainless, ceramic cktps r vens, fr which we have the apprpriate cleaning prducts in yur bucket. In general: Clean with Nrwex clths (grey r blue) and water nly fr areas like cunters, sinks, tubs/shwers, windws, walls and spt cleaning flrs. Use Oxygenic fr tilets and tugh cleans n flrs with standard micrfibre clths (range r green) r mps. When yu use Oxygenic yu must then rinse after cleaning. Laminate and hardwd flrs require nly a slightly damp mp - n heavy cleaners. Carpet stains are managed n a case by case basis depending n the stain and type f carpet. If it is dried n fd r smething f the like use the bne and a damp Nrwex clth. Excessive stains - call yur supervisr and nte it in the lg. Fr excessive and grimy messes, always use a rag first that is inexpensive t cull befre finishing with the apprpriate clth. Ntify yur supervisr if it is utside f the nrm. A typical day n the muntain: The staff schedule desn t have specific hurs f wrk n it because it is cnstantly evlving, but always assume at least 7 hurs frm pick up at the rendezvus until drp ff. Sme days will be shrter. Sme lnger. If yu have

4 A typical wrkday starts at 10:00 r 10:30 and CVG transprtatin leaves twn abut 30 minutes prir but always duble check with yur supervisr when crdinating yur transprtatin. Check-ut time is 11:00 am. Check-in time is 4:00 r 5:00 pm depending n the unit s ur cleaning windw is frm 11 t 5. Pre and pst prep f cleaning buckets and linens is required utside f thse times n a full cleaning schedule. Yu can estimate yur cleaning day by lking at the ttal number f hurs needing t be cleaned in the descriptin n the ggle calendar item and dividing it by the number f cleaners (excluding the crdinatr and maintenance peple). The transprt desn t leave until everything is dne. If yu have time cnstraints due t ther cmmitments, make thse arrangements early n with Kelsey r Karla. Or plan t take care f yur wn transprtatin. Befre checkut time (11 am at mst places), yur supervisr will assign yu t buildings r suites that need t be cleaned fr the day. Certain units may have different cleaning prcedures - yu will be briefed n any special instructins prir t starting a jb. Sme f this infrmatin will als be kept in a binder at the n-muntain ffice in the frm f Appendix A: Cleaning time budget and checklist. While yu may find a methd f cleaning that is mst efficient fr yu, a gd guideline fr ding a cmplete turnver is: Enter the suite and nte yur start time in the lg. D a cmplete walkthrugh. Take nte f any damage r severe messes and frward these t yur supervisr. As yu g, turn heat dwn, clse windws and turn n all the lights. Of curse, if there are bad smells t air ut yu will be leaving thse windws pen until the end f yur clean when yu d yur final walkthrugh. Bring all garbage and recycling t the entrance f the suite fr remval aside frm a small garbage in the kitchen fr yu t use thrughut yur clean. Start the self-clean n the ven if required this may already have been started by yur supervisr. If there are ht tubs, pen them up and start the jets - if they lk murky r make excessive fam put 2-6 scps f Stabilized Chlrinated Granules depending n the severity and while the jets are running. Fr clarity, als add up t 2 capfuls f Plysheen. Keep the jets running while yu clean by checking that they are n every time yu pass by. Strip all f the linens and either bag them fr transprt r start them in the laundry machines n site as per the instructins specific t the unit. Bring a stain remval spray with yu and treat stains as yu see them. Remake the beds as per the expectatins utlined in the binder - triple sheeting r standard r bunk (made r flded at the ft). Best dne in pairs in mst cases. Hspital crners are mandatry fr all sheets. Pillwcases are arranged seam dwn, penings t the wall fr single pillws r facing each ther fr pairs. Large pillw cases are flded inside themselves. If smething is in desperate need, irn it whilst n the bed. Have a lint rller n hand in case yu find any stray hairs n the bedding. Wrk yur way frm the inside f the suite ut. Fr example, in Chateau Cna, start cleaning the innermst upstairs bedrm, bathrm, and s n until yu are back at the main entrance. Wrk n ne rm at a time - if yu are wrking with a partner, tackle rms separately. This allws yu t be accuntable fr everything in the rm yu have dne, and ensures that nthing gets skipped ver. The exceptin wuld be in making beds as this is best dne with teamwrk.

5 O Make beds after dusting is cmplete. As yu cmplete a rm turn the light ff, if there is a same day check in, turn the heat t 18 degrees and clse the dr. Wrk frm tp t bttm - dust ceilings and blinds first, wipe ledges, tabletps, cunters, basebards, and then sweep. This prevents yu frm spreading dust nt a surface yu ve already cleaned. Fllw the guidelines in the binder fr the differences between a turnver, mnthly and hurly clean. Wrk clckwise in a rm if yu are left handed and cunter clckwise if yu are right handed with a dust mitt n ne hand and a damp Nrwex Antibac clth in yur ther. Attack every tp surface. Make sure the dishes in the dishwasher are clean and put away. Wash anything remaining by hand, dry, and put away. Try t ensure glasses are fingerprint-free. Be sure t make nte in yur lg if there are any dishes besides what is in the dishwasher as this is ptentially and extra fee fr the guest. Open all cupbards and drawers, and lk under beds and cuches t ensure that custmers haven t left anything behind. It is a gd habit t leave a drawer pen if yu find a mess that yu need t clean up later as it serves as a gd reminder nt nly fr yu but fr anyne else that steps in t help. Make sure that all cupbards and drawers are tidy and rganized. Vacuum arund taster and anywhere crumbs have cllected (alng and under stve, fd strage areas, the frnt-insides f all drawers). ALWAYS CLEAN INSIDE THE CUPBOARD UNDER THE KITCHEN SINK. If yu d find smething that has been left behind, make a nte f the date and where yu fund it, and let yur supervisr knw where yu have put it fr safekeeping. There is a lst and fund at The Cna Hstel, Chateau Cna and the On Muntain Office. Clean bathrms thrughly - feel t make sure n sap scum is left n tubs and shwers. When vacuuming take a secnd peek in the tubs and shwers fr hair and vacuum it up. Clean jets in jacuzzis with vinegar slutin during mnthly cleans. Wipe dwn walls if yu see any water drip lines r dirty hand/fingerprints. Clean the entire tilet, including the utside f the tank and bwl, and the flr and plumbing behind. Make sure amenities are stcked. Dn t frget t d the mirrrs, and watch fr hair n the flrs. Fld the tilet paper t signify that the bathrm has been cmpleted. Clean the ht tub and remve snw frm the prch. Always make sure the prpane tanks at the main chalets (WG, CC) are free f snw - this is very imprtant t ensure we get the tanks refilled when the truck cmes! We have dedicated maintenance staff fr the majr shvelling prjects but if snw remval is ur respnsibility then entryways are usually the respnsibility f cleaners. Check with yur supervisr if yu need t shvel anything mre (decks, prpane tanks etc.). This extra shvelling is nt included in the alltted time budgeted fr a turnver clean s must be entered n the time lg as a separate line item. Vacuum carpets and rugs in all rms, whether they lk dirty r nt. Simply picking up bvius debris pieces is nt acceptable because yu will inevitably miss smething, and we dn t want that.

6 D a final walk thrugh befre washing flrs t ensure yu haven t missed anything. Cmmnly missed spts include: inside f the fridge and micrwave, under beds, inside f clsets, and behind drs, saunas and lcking f sliding glass drs. Make sure all lights are turned ff, all drs are lcked (including sliders) and cleaning supplies are accunted fr befre signing ff the suite. If yu have any questins, d nt hesitate t cntact yur supervisr! We re here t help yu ut. Pre-Pst Turnver at the marshalling pint. At the beginning f shift: Organize yur cleaning buckets fr the day s wrk. This requires knwing if yu are scheduled fr a regular turnver r a mnthly clean, what have yu. Take alreadystarted cleaners frm the right hand side f the supplies shelf, and stck yur cleaning clths in accrdance t what yu will be cleaning and if mre than ne persn is using the same bucket. A list f required cleaning supplies is laminated and affixed t the side f the bucket. Dn t frget the mp! Organize yur linens fr the day s wrk. If yur supervisr is yur driver, yu may have t help with this. Ideally it is dne befre yu arrive. If it can t be dne befre yur arrive, departure frm twn might be 15 minutes earlier and yu each will get 15 minutes f extra pay t chip in. Ensure yu have the apprpriate keys (always carry them in a zippered pcket!!) Replenish laundered items stred in the clset At yur supervisr s request, yu may be asked t head t Chateau Cna t refill saps. At the end f the shift: Clean and empty yur cleaning bucket fr the next day. Sweep/vacuum the entry and clset as required Ensure all Lst and Fund items are marked with the date and lcatin fund and stwed accrdingly. Fill ut yur time lg and get it signed ff by a supervisr. After yu have signed ff, quickly chip in t clean up everyne s wn lunch and garbage messes frm the day. If yu have cmpleted yur turnver cleans ahead f ther staff and are waiting fr a ride hme yu can pt t clck ff r ask yur supervisr if there is anything else yu can d. Thse duties may include: Refill ht tub supplies Clean ht tub buckets Refill hand saps Refill dish saps Ensure neat rganizatin f the clset. Launder cleaning clths Cut up ld twels fr rags

7 Clean the bathrm in the cnd r Karla and Brian s Dust the cnd r Karla and Brian s Vacuum the cnd r Karla and Brian s Use f the cnd r wner s suite during yur shift In the ski seasn, generally yu will reprt t the cnd. But smetimes yu will reprt t the basement f Chateau Cna. Here are sme rules t fllw: Dr Cdes Yur backpacks, lunches, r bts are nt t be stred inside the wner s suite. Please hang them n hks prvided and stw bts n bt trays when yu remve them. Please d yur best nt t track in t much snw when yu cme and g frm the basement. Please ensure dr latches behind yu when yu use it! Benches in the mudrm are prvided fr staff t sit while n break. If yu need a place t eat a snack, please d nt d s in a cleaned unit. D nt use the washrm facilities f a cleaned unit. Yu may eat in the mudrm and if yu need t use the facilities, please ask yur supervisr befre entering the wner s suite. The cnd may have peple sleeping in it utside f wrking urs s it is ur respnsibility t leave n trace. Occasinally yu may be asked t prep it fr this at the end f yur shift make the bed, put ut twels etc. Dn t walk arund in yur bts. Clean up yur lunch messes. Frmal cleaning will be scheduled fr dusting, bathrms, kitchens and flrs but smetimes there are last minute situatins where we all need t chip in fr a few minutes at the end f shift t ready it. Never leave a unit withut ensuring that the guest dr cdes have been entered. (Nte: this will nt be necessary fr all units s make sure yu knw the situatin at yur mrning briefing.) At Chateau Cna and the Cna Hstel including sme ther units that we manage, guests gain access via a dr cde that we may be respnsible fr changing. The prgramming cde (PC) culd change ver time (especially at the Cna Hstel where there are many peple and staff cming and ging) and will be nted in the binder at the chalet as will the husekeeping user cde (UC) fr any n-muntain units. They will als be cmmunicated via text r - this will be the nly means fr the Cna Hstel. Please ask yur supervisr fr the current prgramming cde befre venturing ff t change the dr cdes! On the muntain, instructins fr the different types f lcks are n yur laminated time lg that yu shuld take in yur bucket. DO NOT GET IN THE HABIT OF DELETING ALL THE CODES. THERE ARE UNITS WHERE THERE ARE MANY CODES YOU MAY NOT BE AWARE OF ALREADY STORED IN THERE. We stipulate Schlage Cded Deadblts fr the prperties we manage t make this simple fr us, hwever there will be circumstances where these directins dn t. Flding Linens Always clean the laundry rm thrughly while yur first lads f laundry are in the wash, t avid any dirt making their way nt sheets while flding. There is a specific methd f flding linens fr Cna Getaways in rder t ensure that it is easy t tell what size f linens yu are grabbing ff the shelf (and, it helps keep things lking tidy!). Each size f bedding will be flded t a specific width. It is imprtant that the final fld be in the frnt s that when the linens sit n

8 the shelf yu knw exactly hw many items yu are grabbing. N linens are t tuch the flr when flding - if yu are shrt yu may need t find ingenius ways t manage this. We ask that yu always use a surface fr flding and have a lint rller and a spray bttle f water at hand. Flding tables with lines fr reference are prvided at the Cna Hstel and Chateau Cna. Fr extremely detailed linen flding instructins, please refer t the detailed Linen Flding Guidelines. Pressing linens: Our mtt is We dn t press ur linens r prvide paper twels. We like wrinkles and the envirnment t But f curse, we prmise the linens are clean! We d hwever care abut presentatin, especially in bvius places. Nw that we have linen service this isn t entirely true but there may be circumstances that warrant laundering urselves. Never leave linens t sit in the dryer. Remve them ht and hand press them as yu fld. Never verfill the laundry machine r wrinkles are inevitable. It is best t dry nly 2 r 3 sheets at a time. They dry faster and with fewer wrinkles because they dn t ball up tgether. They will ften take less time t dry the whle lad then if yu put the whle lad int the dryer at nce. If there is a particularly wrinkled ribbn band - lightly spray with water and hand press. It will usually minimize the wrinkle in the clset if flded well. Any tugh spts may be spt irned n the beds after they are made. Tightly and carefully pack them int laundry bags when transprting t avid wrinkling. Packing Linens Chateau Cna linens are sent fr strage at Chateau Cna whenever vacancies permit. Chateau Cna linens are distinguished as fllws: Cream/tan in clur fr sheets and twels Dark grey in clur fr bath mats and individual hand twels t hang n the twel racks in each bathrm. Dark grey in clur fr kitchen clths r tea twels. The pulence line f Eden Textile sheets distinguished by the duble indicatr clured seam respectively and als by the tag. Laundry Rm at the Cna Hstel All clean and flded rental linens are t be immediately stwed with neatness and care in the laundry cabinets in the laundry rm at the Cna Hstel by the labels marked n the shelves. D nt mix rental linens and Chateau Cna linens. D nt leave them n the cunter r flding table. Rental linens are distinguished as fllws: White linens with a single clured stripe White twels King - pink/red Queen - white/beige Duble - pale blue/green Single - blue Plaid kitchen clths and tea twels Brwn/tan bath mats and hand twels fr each bathrm twel rack

9 Befre cmpletin f yur linens shift, cmplete the fllwing checklist: Stw the flding table t the right f the cabinets Stw the mat with the flding table Check the washing machine cleaning lg (binder) and assess whether a full clean is required based n the time lapsed. Run a cycle f ht water with washing machine cleaner as per directins r alternatively, with the bleach tray filled t the maximum with Oxygentle r plain white vinegar. Skip this step if nt required and mve t the next. Ensure the dr gaskets have been wiped dry n the washing machines and the washer drs are left slightly ajar. Stw all ther supplies (detergents, Oxygentle, lint rllers, this binder etc.) in the cabinet ver the 3rd dryer. Lck all cabinets Return laundry keys t the ffice drawer handle and ensure that everything is stwed prperly in the ffice s as t nt interfere with Hstel peratins. Lck up the ffice. Dirty laundry bags In the wintertime dirty laundry bags frm Munt Washingtn peratins awaiting linen service are kept at the cnd fr pick up by White Hat Laundry Services. Any laundry at the Cna Hstel is never t be kept n the flr in the laundry rm except while n duty. There simply isn t the space. Never put dirty laundry in a plastic bag that is nt transparent as it is easily mistaken fr garbage. Ht Tub Cleaning Part f cleaning and maintaining the prperties at Mt. Washingtn includes ht tub cleaning and maintenance. Ideally we will have a persn tending t ht tubs that is nt cleaning the unit fr time efficiency, hwever, all cleaners must start the prcess s that the tub has time t start sanitizing befre that persn gets t the prperty and there, f curse, will always be circumstances where the cleaner needs t knw hw t d it him/herself. There is a ht tub guide available fr reference if yu ever need it, and will be psted bth nline and in the Husekeeping Binder as well as in the Ht Tub Caddy. Inside the dutang in the Ht Tub Caddy yu will als find a lg bk. FILLING IT OUT IS MANDATORY. Ht tub cleanliness can pse a significant liability if ur guests enter an unclean tub - flliculitis r ther hrrible diseases can be cntracted in a tub nt satisfactrily sanitized. The lg bk prvides a layer f due prcess necessary in mitigating thse risks. Guests may d all srts f things t affect the sanitatin in a ht tub (vmit, have sexual relatinssex, spill fd ) but if we have recrds shwing exactly what we put int the tub and ur test levels we have a case t be made that it was them and nt us. Snw Snw at Munt Washingtn is an nging challenge and its remval is imprtant fr business. Fllw these imprtant rules: Always wear uterwear with zippered pckets t ensure keys and phnes aren t lst in the white abyss! Wear apprpriate ftwear and remve them at unit entrances.

Please mve the vehicle during his wrk in the driveway s we can get it cmpletely cleared. Stmp ff the snw befre entering a building and if prvided always leave bts in bt trays t catch the melting snw. At Chateau Cna, the fllwing areas need shvelling during every turnver by cleaners unless maintenance persn is n duty: Prpane tanks Access t ht tubs Frnt entry Heater vent under stairs in frnt mudrm De-icing salts are fund in the frnt shvel clset if required. Infrm yur supervisr if the decks need a full shvel. All ther shvelling cntracts and instructins are detailed in the binder. Garbage remval cntract We ffer garbage remval services. Chalets n Fster s have n garbage remval and are all ptential clients. Our service is nt regular. Every time there is extra space in a vehicle ging dwn the muntain the lg fr Garbage Cllectin Services shuld be checked. If any unit with a garbage remval cntract had garbage last cllected between 1 and 2 weeks, then cllect their garbage and update the maintenance lg accrdingly. Check the maintenance lg peridically t ensure n unit ever ges lnger than 2 weeks withut garbage cllectin.

11 Appendix A: Cleaning Time Budget and Checklist 5-15 minutes - Initial Sweep Walk thrugh suite, turn n all lights, assess if any additinal time will be needed fr exceptinal messes, strip all the beds, check under beds.
