2 Page 2 vn Prduct Descriptin Make Safety Available - F-Exx was develped and manufactured fr a sle purpse nly. As lng as a fire is still small, it can be extinguished by simple means. The F-Exx is a prtable fire extinguisher fr initial fires and can save lives and prevent further damage. The system des nt require any prpellant gases, aersls r cmpressed air in rder t discharge the extinguishing agent. Because f its extinguishing perfrmance, handling and cmpact dimensins it can be emplyed in many areas. The F-Exx is suitable fr extinguishing: slid materials (Class A fires) e.g.: wd, plastics, textiles, etc. fires, invlving flammable r cmbustible liquids (fire class B), e.g.: petrl, diesel, kersene, etc. fires resulting frm cking il/fats in frying and baking equipment (fire class F), e.g.: vegetable r animal ils and fats. Pwder and CO 2 extinguishers are hardly suitable fr this purpse. 2. Technlgy A true innvatin in the field f prtable fire extinguishing systems: the F-Exx. Unlike the previusly knwn and cmmercially available fire extinguishers and extinguishing spray cans, the system des nt have any prpellant gases, aersls r cmpressed air. The energy cntained in the system is thus nly a fractin f the amunt f cnventinal systems and excludes any risk f an explsin due t the abandnment f cmpressed gas. Even with wantn destructin r burning there is n danger fr the user - the F-Exx will simply leak. With cnventinal perating systems the gas pressure decreases as discharge prgresses further and further. With this, the spray behaviur changes regarding spraying distance and spray pattern. Due t the rapidly decreasing pressure f cnventinal spray can systems, it is therefre necessary t start ff with a very high initial pressure. In rder t achieve the required casting distance, even in these systems, a pressure

In the case f F-Exx, the pressure f the system thrughut the entire dispensing perid remains apprximately even at abut 2 bar, s that, despite the lw initial pressure during the entire extinguishing peratin the necessary casting distance f the system is ensured. 3. Biversal advanced bitechnlgy fire extinguishing agent F-Exx 8. Bi fire extinguishing system is filled with a 10% aqueus slutin based n ec-friendly Biversal QF-R fire extinguishing agent. Biversal QF-R is an advanced bitechnlgy and multipurpse fire extinguishing agent with faming capabilities, delivering high perfrmance fire knck dwn capabilities in Class A/B/F fires. 3.1 Fire extinguishing perfrmance F-Exx 8. Bi has been tested and evaluated by MPA Dresden accrding t EN3 Requirements certifying the fllwing ratings regarding fire extinguishing perfrmance: 5A 21B 15F 3.2 Eclgical cleaning agent Biversal QF-R is an envirnmentally and user-friendly prduct. Thrugh its ability t frm nn-emulsifying il / water micelles, it is an excellent il, fat and prtein cleaner. During spraying and mixing with liquid fuels tiny fuel drplets n the surface are frmed, which are cvered by an aqueus skin cnsisting f Biversal agents. The result is that envirnmentally harmful mineral hydrcarbns are bidegradable and achieve waste water cmpatibility Thus, the effect f Biversal QF-R can be characterized as envirnmentally sanitizing. After extinguishing, cntaminated areas can be cleaned with it. QF-R is ph-neutral and generally cmpatible. Biversal QF-R was tested in the same manner as a csmetic prduct and it has been cnfirmed that it is nt irritating in

4 Page 4 vn 11 direct cntact with skin r eyes. With the extinguishing agent, mixed washing water cntaining encapsulated il / fat / prtein are easily bi degradable and waste water cmpatible. Direct cntact with the respiratry tract shuld be avided. 3.3 Anti Pllutin Agent Biversal QF-R cntains a BiActivatr, which is prprietary Bitechnlgy f Biversal Internatinal. This cmpnent is a mdified ingredient f vegetal rigin, cating treated il/fat/prtein micelles, transfrming ec-txicity, bi-cmpatibility and bidegradatin characteristics f pllutants. These mechanisms equip Biversal QF-R with anti-pllutin capabilities and biremediatin effectiveness. This makes the prduct ideal fr applicatins in pen envirnment and near prtected pen water r maritime waters during prfessinal r leisure applicatins. Its cmpnents derived frm vegetal rigin cntain: plyvalent ingredients free f phsphates and nitrates heter rganic substances mdified glycl derivatives natural clurs and fragrances. The F-Exx des nt cntain any pwders, whereby cnsequential damage is avided. This can be significant, since large dust cluds f extinguishing salts spread far beynd the surce f the fire and can als be inhaled. Dry pwder acts in cnjunctin with humidity in a highly crrsive manner. The F-Exx is equipped with a bilgically degradable liquid chemical. Remnants f the extinguishing agent can be wiped ff easily after spraying and wetted surfaces can be cleaned with water. The F-Exx is nt refillable and can after its service life be dispsed f in accrdance with the respective lcal regulatins (e.g. recycling centres, building yards and waste dispsal plants). The drained system can simply be put int the trash after use. Even with the destructin f the F-Exx during the dispsal prcess there is n risk f expansin r explsin. As an alternative t the dispsal in accrdance with the prvisins f the cuncil, the life cycle f the prduct can be further imprved if it is checked after use r after the expiratin f the service life f the F-Exx by an authrized custmer service agent and maintained accrdingly. 4. Why F-Exx is nt a fire extinguisher accrding t DIN EN-3 This Eurpean Standard (EN-3-8, Chapter 1 "Applicatin") sets ut rules fr the design, type testing, prductin and inspectin f prtable fire extinguishers with metal husings, t reduce risks f the internal pressure f these devices causing an explsin. The gas pressure inside a cnventinal pwder extinguisher is between 15 and 20 bar. The flexible frce element in the interir f the F-Exx nly prduces a fluid pressure f apprximately 2 bar and des nt cntain gas r prpellants. A metal husing is neither needed maintain the internal pressure nr t prtect against explsins. The uter cntainer f the F-Exx can therefre be made f plastic, withut cmprmising functinality r safety f the extinguisher. Extinguishers with aqueus agents, including fam fire extinguishers require a minimum filling vlume f 2 liters accrding t the standard (EN-3-7, sectin 6.4.2). The F-Exx has fr reasns f ease f use and the assciated lw weight, a nminal vlume f 0.8 liters. The filling capacity is sufficient because f the perfrmance capability f the extinguishing agent being able t achieve the stated extinguishing perfrmance mentined in pint 5 f this Prduct Data Sheet in accrdance with the EN-3-7 Sectin 6.4 and it being certified. 7. Why the F-Exx is nt cnsidered t be a spray can extinguisher A spray can extinguisher is an aersl package (Aersl Directive 2008/47/EG), which cntains a cmpressed gas as an energy strage in additin t the liquid r pwdered chemical. Cnventinal extinguishing spray cans have pres-

8 Page 8 vn 11 sures f apprx. 10 bar (car tyres, 2-3 bar). Due t the resulting ptential hazards similar regulatins fr strage and transprt (UN 1950, BGHW M20) apply. In the past, cases f bursting spray can extinguishers were reprted in the media and there have been numerus recalls by the manufacturers since. The reasn fr this was ften due t crrsin f the can resulting frm the extinguishing agent. In the event f verheating, spray cans may burst, as they have n pressure relief valve. Mst fire extinguishing aersl spray cans nly can perate, system-related, in an upright psitin. Already the mere extinguishing f a rubbish bin n the flr can therefre be a challenge. At high temperatures, the internal pressure increases dramatically. When stred in the trunk f a car a spray can quickly reaches temperatures f ver 60 C, which can bring the spray can t its bursting limit. Due t the eliminatin f any cmpressed gases, the F-Exx is nt cvered by the Aersl Directive and therefre is nt subject t the restrictive regulatins fr strage and transprt. Attributable t its design, the system inherently des nt pssess any f the mentined disadvantages. Any increase in temperature hardly increases the fluid pressure within the interir. Even pressure fluctuatins, resulting, fr example, in air transprtatin are safe. In additin, the system wrks in any rientatin (360 ), even upside dwn. Even with vilent destructin, the fam will simply flw ut cmpletely withut any risk f explsin. In cnventinal spray cans the gas pressure cntinues t decrease with cntinuing discharge. As this happens, the spray behaviur changes regarding the spraying distance and spray pattern. The pressure curve f F-Exx remains virtually cnstant during the entire perid f usage, making pssible a unifrm spraying pattern (see paragraph 2). 8. Why the F-Exx des nt have any CE marking The CE marking is a requirement fr the cmmercializatin f prducts fr which a CE mark fr varius EU directives is required. With the CE marking, the manufacturer r imprter declares under EU Regulatin 765/2008, "that the prduct cmplies with the applicable requirements." The F-Exx system is nt cvered by any f these grups r existing prduct technlgy areas. As such, fr instance, the directive "Simple Pressure Vessels (2009/105/EC)" requires a welded metal cntainer. The Directive n General Prduct Safety (Directive 2001/95/EC) regulates health and safety f cnsumers. It is a cllectin plicy that cmes int play when specific guidelines are nt applicable. In its new frm, it als applies t prducts that are intended fr cmmercial use, but can als g t the cnsumer market. The CE marking pursuant t this Directive is nt intended fr use.

11 Page 11 vn Maintenance and Repair The F-Exx has a dealer warranty f 36 mnths and requires n maintenance during this perid. The expiratin date is indicated n the label. After remval f the safety device the F-Exx shuld be dispsed f, even if it was nt entirely empty. Only by ding s, it can be ensured that in the case f an emergency, the full amunt f extinguishing agent is at hand. The F-Exx is nt refillable and shuld be dispsed f after the expiratin perid in accrdance with lcal regulatins. Hwever, an empty system can be easily fed int the trash.
